Planning to pop the question, or just simply can’t bear to leave your blingy baubles behind at home?
Jewellery, including engagement and wedding rings, are covered under the Luggage and Personal Effects benefit, up to a maximum of $1,000 per item. Pairs or related sets of items are considered as only one item. Examples include a matching pair of earrings, or a set of charms on a charm bracelet.
We will pay the repair cost or value of your jewellery which are stolen or accidentally damaged or are permanently lost during your journey. When calculating the amount payable we will apply depreciation due to age, wear and tear. The amount of such depreciation will be determined by us.
If your jewellery holds sentimental value and costs more than $1,000, then unfortunately you may need to consider leaving them at home. Under our policy wording, cover for jewellery is excluded under the High Value Items benefit. Do not list your precious jewellery under the High Value Items add on as they will not be covered.
More information can be found in our Policy Wording.
