TINZ has generous cover benefits for loss or theft of luggage, but there are per item (or per pair) sub limits. We offer up to $3000 cover for computers, cameras and video recorders, and up to $1000 for all other items. As such, we will only cover your engagement ring for up to $1000.
If you're travelling with items of greater value than the sub limits, you can apply for up to $5000 of high value item cover. Depreciation formulas are not applied to these items. Unfortunately, we do not offer high value item cover for jewellery, watches, bicycles or watercraft.
If your engagement ring holds sentimental value and costs more than $1,000, then unfortunately you may need to consider leaving it at home. Under our policy wording, cover for jewellery is excluded under the high value Items benefit. Do not list your precious engagement ring under the high value Items add on as it will not be covered.
